The fantastic Richmond Fontaine has invited me to open up for them on part of their upcoming tour. Check the dates below:
September 12 Bedford – Civic
September 14 Bristol – St Bonaventures
September 15 Nottingham – Maze
September 16 Manchester -Academy 3
September 17 London – Garage
September 18 Paris – La Java
September 19 Amsterdam – Paradiso
This is me crying. I’m happy you’re out and about doing shows, but we miss you in Chicago.
While I have your attention (maybe), earlier in the year you talked about a new album. Is it going to happen this year?
Hi Heather, sorry about not playing in Chicago for so long. We appreciate your patience. After You Cant’ Win we pretty much started from scratch on a lot of things. We are wrapping up on a new album that will be out in the spring, but new tracks will be up online throughout the fall. Most likely there will be a tour Feb or March. Thanks, we’ve sort of been regrouping and just plugging away. Should be worth the wait though… Sincerely, Al and Dolorean

Dolorean is on the Loppen Christiania bill for August Sept 2009, just to let you know. I do like RF, and I think Wily Vlautin is great, but Dolorean was what we were paying for, such a shame.

During the recent Manchester show on 9.16, Al mentioned that a new Dolorean album would be released the first half of next year and he also mentioned that he had a solo, acoustic CD for sale at the show made up of new songs.
I hope that CD be available for purchase here on the web-site.

Old and new songs actually Mike, plus one cover. Well worth getting when more copies become available.
Ditto the request that those of us who couldn’t make it to the live show are able to purchase the solo CD.

Since I’ve moved out to DC, I’ve been longing for good ole Portland music but I checked your website merely days too late. I can’t believe I missed Dolorean while you were in my neighborhood….my friends and I would have packed the house (if it wasn’t already!!) You have no idea how sad this makes me that I missed you guys at the Black Cat. Will you come back soon?
